A Hotel in London

This was a project In the UK, a seaside tourist town close to Scotland. The site was very close to the sea and so during winters, it was a real challenge, for the plants to survive. They were exposed to cold, strong and salty winds during winter months. It was a commercial project and the beauty of the garden had to be maintained year-round.

The client’s Brief: I want to convert the outside courtyard into a beautiful one. It should be a year-round inviting garden space where my hotel guests can smoke, relax and enjoy the sunshine.

The Challenges: The proximity to Beach, subzero temperatures and salty icy, strong winds from the North hitting the plants directly.

The design: Whispering Gardens created a glass barrier to stop the icy wind but allow the beach view from the Garden.

Finally, the garden has no space to accommodate any more guests, as seen in the video, and the joy on their faces is telling our success story.
