Terrace Garden Vasant Vihar

Vasant Vihar terrace was about 2000 sq. feet in area, but its shape was irregular. There was an existing pantry and washroom made in Porta cabin. We proposed an eclectic-style garden with a wooden office and deck. We tried to give a different feel to each irregular shape. We created a Thai-style garden on one side of the corner. We placed a Thai-style stone lantern with two traditional Thai stone statues there, as seen in the picture. In the background, we planted cane palm, which works well year-round and goes straight up without occupying much space. The bamboo-like stems of cane palm also helped hide the Porta cabin wall of the washroom. The other corner was converted into a classic garden with a fountain, earthen pots and white picket. We gave it a romantic feel with vines climbing on the red brick wall. We showed that corner an informal look of a cottage garden with soft planting and herbs in the border. The basic theme of tropical gardens with randomly mixed plantations. Three frangipani trees in giant fibre planters gave good shade and seasonality to the design. A colourful look of the park with walkway stones on the lawn completed the look. This beautiful garden is visible from the deck and office. A barbecue with a utility area and open kitchen was provided in another corner, as shown in the pictures. A fishpond on the deck enhanced the beauty of the garden. We used a long Indigo colour glass with a small sculpture piece as a focal point from the entry to the park. Another sculpture was placed between the office and the fish tank.
