Farmhouse, Pushpanjali
It was a 3-acre site in a rectangular shape. The owners wanted the swimming pool, gym, sauna and steam facility tucked at the corner of the plot, away from home. The theme of the garden was tropical. We planned two paths joining the pool area and house, one was a stone paved walkway through the lawn, and the other was a service pathway which ran along the boundary wall hidden from sight by tall hedges and silver oak trees.
We created mounds around the swimming pool and placed many boulders to create a jungle look. We used Hasper palm, champagne palm, triangulate palm, Musa and travellers palm on the mounds to give a tropical look.
A white picker enclosed the swimming pool for the safety of small children. The lawn had hedges of black Ficus and Reginald. The pathway was curved, and to enhance the shape, we used Royal Palm on both sides.
The front area of the house had Frangipani black grass and fountain grass. Huge boulders were used next to the entrance, with red Rusellia planted between the rocks. The Garden looked like a tropical jungle with a lotus pond and a small, crescent-shaped naturalistic pond.
