Defence Colony

The project was for a small balcony on the villa’s first floor, with dimensions 6’ by 12’. The terrace was adjacent to the living room. The curtains of the living room were drawn all the time due to proximity to the road. If curtains were left open, the entire house was visible from the road. The best way to handle a situation like this, we use 9” to 12” wide planters and plat them with those plants which create curtains without acquiring much space. So we designed the balcony to become an extension of the living room. We used a total of 6 FRP planters of 1’ width, all along two sides of the balcony, and on the remaining Side, we placed three tall rectangular planters of height 4 ‘ with carmona balls, as shown in the picture. For rectangular planters, we used tall readymade hedges, which created a green wall through which air can pass, but the inside view of the house is not visible.

There was a shaped wooden bench designed with black and white stripes cautions and a black sun umbrella which completed the design as seen in the pictures. This beautifully done-up balcony added the next dimension to the villa, as one can see from the photos.
